Located in the heart of Dublin city centre, Christ Church was originally a Viking church and has been welcoming pilgrims and visitors for almost 1,000 years. Today, it is a working Anglican cathedral. When you enter, you’ll see the large Nave with its high ceilings and medieval tiled floor.
Below the cathedral is the crypt, the city’s oldest building still in use. Throughout the cathedral, you’ll find many historic features, including: Strongbow’s final resting place, the heart of St. Laurence O’Toole, a rare copy of the Magna Carta and our famous mummified cat and rat.
